JUSCYLEIA REIS, BRAZIL
This lovely lady brings all things Brazilian in a beautiful balance that we felt was best translated when brewed in French Press with a straightforward recipe that gives you that big body-ody-ody and brown sugar and cocoa sweetness.
ANA, CRIS & RENATA, BRAZIL
A big ole-heavy mouthfeel married with sugary-sweetness, black cherry and enough citrus acidity to keep things balanced, this coffee from Ana, Cris and Renata is a real coffee experience. Mió is a female-led company run by Cris Gerbasi, COO for Brazilian Business, Ana Luiza, COO for International Business and Renata Parisi (Ana’s Mum) Owner and general badass of Mio.
BOZA SISTERS, EL SALVADOR
This dreamy bad gal sent us floating away on super fudgey notes and controlled apple-acidity alongside some pretty banging berry flavours too - the amazing thing about this coffee is how delicious it is even if it’s sat on the side for 5 minutes- perfect for those afternoons when you’re not sure if you’re coming or going - things might be up in the air, but this coffee isn’t- at the risk of being cheesy, it’s out of this world.
KIRINDERA WOMENS PEACE COFFEE, DRC
The Kirindera Women’s Peace Coffee of the COOPADE Association aims to bring peace to Virunga National Park and across DRC. By growing coffee, the Kirindera women are employing young people and providing them with an alternative to joining the armed groups that are destabilising the region.
This absolutely delicious coffee with a gorgeous buttery (chewy) mouthfeel ticks all of the boxes. It’s unctuous and sweet and finishes with lovely rhubarb tartness and floral aroma
CYNTHIA LA RUE, NICARAGUA
Cynthia is a real force to be reckoned with, and the way we brewed this coffee brought out exactly that punch of flavour we feel lives up to Cynthia’s personality - a kickass spro-type drink that has accessible milk and dark chocolate notes, with that refreshing yuzu citrus his that lingers in your mouth- the kind of go-go juice that makes you want to get out of bed, and then helps you to really hit the ground running
KARIN HERNANDEZ, GUATEMALA
Picture smooth, buttery milk chocolate, reminding you of toffee apples on bonfire night, quickly chased by a zingy citrus-y clementine that stays in the mouth for ages and ages- a real friend of the early evening, you can’t go wrong with this one.
